Make preparations in advance for your children when exams are on the horizon

October 19, 2011

Mothers who are heading to college are probably making a number of important preparations for their children before they set foot on campus. From researching college scholarships to figuring out a budget to planning a class schedule around their kids, there are plenty of things that will be on their minds when the semester begins.

If you're heading back to school, you can probably plan your course schedule around your children's academic hours, but the situation can become muddled during midterms and finals. These periods of the semester always require extra work, so you may not have the time to meet your kids after school.

A month or so before this time period, make sure you have family or a friend available to look after your kids. College is absolutely manageable with children, but when it comes to finals week, you'll need a lot more study time to be able to pass your tests with flying colors.

Higher education will make your life hectic in the coming months, but looking ahead and making the necessary preparations can make your workload a lot more manageable.
