Keep life as simple as possible when heading to college

September 21, 2011

You may think that your numerous responsibilities will hold you back from going to college to earn your degree, but as a mother, you're already used to multi-tasking! By keeping your life as simple as possible, you can juggle the many jobs you need to perform and make the time to complete your schoolwork.

Ensuring that you have a clutter-free home will make it easier to give your home a quick cleaning and keep it fresh. You can also do some extra studying while you're doing laundry or while your kids are doing their own homework.

Go shopping once per week and plan out your menus beforehand. You can even make some meals on the weekend that you can freeze and then pop in the oven. Anything that you can do to cut down on your responsibilities during the week will give you extra time to complete your coursework and spend with your kids.

With the wealth of college scholarships, grants and financial aid opportunities available, there's no better time to head to college to work toward creating a better life for your family.
