Finding balance between your degree program and your children
October 10, 2011
Mothers are already some of the hardest-working individuals around, and it may seem like a huge burden to throw a degree program on top of that. There are a number of steps you can take to be a good mother and a good student, and it starts by planning things out accordingly.
Planning out your week is a great way to stay organized and find time for school work while fulfilling your obligations to your family. This means figuring out meals for the week for the whole family, determining who needs to be picked up from soccer practice or other extracurriculars and creating a bit of free time to help your kids with homework.
A college schedule is extremely flexible, so you can work around your children's school days to be there when they come home and be able to do a bit of extra work when they're not around.
College is more affordable than ever with the many college scholarships and grants available, so it's completely feasible to balance motherhood and a degree when you multitask and plan ahead each week.
