Being there for your children while you earn your degree
September 20, 2011
One of the biggest factors that may be holding you back from going to school to earn your degree is the fear that you may miss a huge moment in you child's life. As a mother, you want to be there for all of your child's warm memories, but making a better life for him is a tough choice that should take precedence if given the opportunity.
There are still ways that you can manipulate your schedule to play an active role in your child's life. Take advantage of any online courses your college may offer - this will allow you to work at your own pace and be around when your child comes home from school or from extracurricular activities.
The flexibility of a college schedule will also allow you to attend most of your classes while he's in school as well. Even though there will still be plenty of work to be done at home, at least you won't have to rely on babysitters to look after your little one.
With the availability of college scholarships, grants and other forms of financial aid, now is as good a time as ever to go to college and pursue your passion.
