Mothers who are considering heading back to school have many reasons to take the plunge into higher education. Increased earning potential, a boost of self-confidence and realizing your dreams are just some of the perks of earning your degree, and the wide range of extracurricular opportunities could be a blessing in disguise.

Depending on what degree program you find yourself in after you've completed the process of applying for college scholarships, many schools will offer extracurricular activities and engaging electives.

Take this opportunity to learn a new language, join a music group or play some intramural sports. College is full of wonderful outlets for your social life and is a great place to try out something you've never done before, so don't be bashful! Be adventurous and use this chance to try something new.

Your degree program will be your primary focus when you head back to school, but there are some fun activities that will make the college experience that much more worthwhile. You may just meet some new friends and establish lifelong connections that will enrich your life in ways you couldn't have imagined.
