Mothers who are struggling to make ends meet or are simply unhappy in their current profession may want to consider heading to college to find out what truly makes them happy. With the wide variety of college scholarships, grants for parents and other forms of financial aid available, higher education has become accessible to people from all backgrounds.
There's no pressure to declare a major right off the bat, so use your first semester or two to sample a few of your top possibilities. Most majors also require a few outside electives, so you can broaden your horizons by taking some courses that really appeal to you.
When you've chosen a major, be sure to investigate the many academic honor societies and clubs on campus. These could be great resources to meet like-minded individuals who share your passion and help you to create long-lasting relationships. Who knows, you may just meet a potential business partner who could jump start your road to success.
College will give you the opportunity to sample a wide variety of disciplines, and it could be the catalyst to help you find a fulfilling career.
