Entering college undecided could help you figure out exactly where you belong

Picking a major is a huge step in any student's life, so if you're not 100 percent about your potential field, entering college undecided may be the ideal choice. After you spend a semester or two sampling the many course offerings that your institution has to offer, a particular subject may strike a chord that can lead to a fulfilling career in the future.
Initially, it may not seem financially responsible to head to college without a clear major in mind, but there's no sense in pursuing a career path that you're not happy with. Narrow your choices down to three or four majors and take a few classes from each field.
Many majors also require that you take a few electives, so use this period to get a few of these classes out of the way. A college course catalog has a number of interesting options, so take a chance on something you've always been interested in.
With the many financial aid opportunities out there, such as college scholarships and grants, it's more affordable than ever to realize your career aspirations.
