Mothers who are mulling over the idea of going back to college to finish their degrees may feel a bit out of place when they're surrounded by students who are in their mid-twenties. College is for everyone, so if you can prove that you belong in an academic environment, you can quickly gain the respect of your classmates.
With the many options for college scholarships and grants, college has become an option for just about anyone willing to put in the time and effort. In particular, there are many organizations that give out scholarships for single parents and mothers who otherwise wouldn't have the means to complete their degree programs.
Whether you're young or old, college is a means of improving your life and realizing your career aspirations, so age should never be a factor. Take this time to reinvent yourself - get a haircut or invest in some new clothing. Simply being in a studious environment may help you feel younger and give you the self-confidence to earn your diploma.
Age should never be a factor when heading to college, so keep your career goals in sight and show those youngsters how it's done!
