The time to get a higher education is now

September 9, 2011

In his recent public address, President Barack Obama acknowledged the strain the faltering economy has put on American families. He proposed a piece of legislation entitled the American Jobs Act, which aims to support employment growth.

Speaking to Congress, Obama said, "Those of us here tonight can't solve all our nation's woes. Ultimately, our recovery will be driven not by Washington, but by our businesses and our workers."

To increase your chances of advancing in the American workforce, consider going back to school to get your degree. No time is better than now as the nation rises to support companies large and small.

If you are worried about funding your education, keep in mind that you can leverage the resources provided by scholarships for mothers and federal grants for parents. With these on hand, you can significantly reduce the expenses associated with college.

More and more businesses are requiring job applicants to have some sort of degree, whether it's an associate's or bachelor's. Make sure hiring managers put your submission to the top of the pile by getting your diploma.
