Physical therapists to remain in high demand

April 26, 2012

Many moms who chose to begin families rather than finish their college careers become interested in going back to school once their kids are a little older. Now that grants for parents and scholarships for mothers are becoming easier to find, more adults are finding the opportunity to obtain a degree while keeping up with their familial obligations.

When planning to go back to school, it's important to hone in on a field that not only interests you, but increases your chances of finding a job after graduation.

One growing field that you may want to consider is the physical therapy industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that employment among physical therapist aides is expected to increase by 43.1 percent between 2010 and 2020, making this a viable career option.

With a degree, you will be expanding your earning potential as well as the number of jobs available to you. The BLS reports that in 2011, individuals with a bachelor's degree made an average of $1,053 per week. Grants for parents and scholarships for mothers can help curb the cost of tuition and make it easier for you to obtain a degree.
