Make your childhood dreams come true by going to college

July 19, 2011

When you think back about what you wanted out of life growing up, you probably thought you had it all figured out. You'd be the prom queen, go off to college and then become the head of a corporation, where you'd be earning a six-figure salary by the time you were 30.

If this plan didn't play out quite like you'd imagined because you started a family younger, you may be feeling like you missed out. Although you most likely realize your childhood dreams of running a business may have been a bit far-fetched, you can still earn a degree as a mom.

Getting a diploma will not only make you feel proud, it can drastically affect your bank account for the better - in most cases, a college degree comes with a more substantial paycheck. Being able to afford schooling could be a concern that you face, but as more parents are striving to earn diplomas, the availability of college scholarships and even financial aid for mothers also continues to rise. Paired with the extra money you may have been saving for a rainy day, you could be attending college in no time. It's never too late to see your childhood dream come true!
