Convincing your kids to get out of bed in the morning

August 30, 2012

Once you enroll in a postsecondary institution with the help of grants for parents and scholarships for moms, you'll need as much time as possible to focus on your studies in order to pass your courses with flying colors. That being said, it can be difficult to establish a school-life balance if you have little ones at home who don't want to get up for class. Luckily, there are a few ways you can make mornings easier in your household.

First, Parenting.com recommends creating a routine that allows your kids to ease into the day. Instead of using a blaring alarm clock in their rooms, choose one that plays soft music to wake them up over the course of a few minutes.

Next, SheKnows.com states that it's important to be sure that your kids are getting a good night's rest. Perhaps they have trouble waking up in the morning because they're too distracted to sleep in the evening.

Finally, try to make time to create a healthy, delicious breakfast in the morning. Food is a great motivating factor for both you and your kids. In the end, you'll all be energized, focused and ready to take on the day.
